Lecture
and Trunk Show
Length: Approx. 1-1/2
hours
Requirements: See
contract.
Group Price: $250
($200 if contracted to teach also)
This is
an inspirational and informative slide-show and lecture describing
my technique and quilted artwork. The
first section of the slide lecture shows the historical progression
of my quilted work. The
next section of the lecture follows the step-by-step development
of one piece. From the original inspiration to the finished wall
hanging, I share techniques and hints for design, fabric selection,
construction, borders, and quilting. Then
with samples such as "Elements" and "Twilight,"
I illustrate the expanded color palate, intricate piecing, and dense
quilting that define my most recent work. Finally,
I will display a selection of quilts, allowing viewers to examine
completed pieces and to see up-close how my techniques are applied.

should be fun and whimsical: butterflies, fish, insects, birds,
flowers, and simple landscapes.
